[Elfsea] Defendetr Spetember, May or ?

As the price of gas continues to go up, everyone will have to make
choices about events. Here is a list of Pro's and Con's for a defender
in September, May, and I am going to add another weekend the fourth
Saturday in January just because its open.
 
 
Defender in May
 
Weather - Cool temperatures, but threat of rain, as long as the event is
not at Canton I will say this is a PRO. Average temp. is 75-80 degrees
2nd weekend in May is mother's day weekend - Con?
Last Event before Coronation - PRO
Same month as Coronation, Steppes warlord, and queens champion. Con
New date for Defender Pro and con.
 
 
Defender in September
Weather - warmer temperatures but threat of rain. Pro or con you decide
Average Temp is 85 - 93 degrees
No longer that last tourney before crown - Con
One weekend before major melee event Con
First baronial event in the central region since may. PRO
 
Defender in January
3 weeks after 12th night - CON
Weather Cold but can be very cold. Pro or con you decide. average temp
30 to 65 degrees
This will be the first tourney after Crown Tourney. PRO
No real competition from any event in January or Feb on the fighting
front  PRO
 
Anyway just some food for thought
