Seriously.  

I appreciate those out there with voices of reason trying to calm people down, or lay things bare. I do.  As a pseudo-newcomer (I have been around for a while now, but mundane life keeps me from being as active as I would like) I have a VERY simple explanation for those wondering "why newcomers are leaving."  DRAMA.  Last I checked this was supposed to be fun.  No one is forcing you to be here.  If you're not having fun, go somewhere else, do something else that you DO have fun doing.  What is decidely NOT fun is sifting through hundreds (literally) of e-mails of people shooting generic "someone who shall remained unnamed did this," or "did you hear this so-and-so didn't do this for me?" accusations and tripe around.

PLEASE.  As a newcomer, I have considered dropping the list and relying on friends to keep me in the know, but I do enjoy the general discussions of meetings and IMPORTANT business, so I have remained.  The drama is just so old.  If you have an issue with someone directly, have the guts to deal with that person directly. Please don't feel the need to twist things about and drag people to your side by exposing a rumor mill about the list.

I just wanna have fun, people.  This probably pissed someone, somewhere off, but I don't care.  I know there has to be someone else out there agreeing with me.  I know my inbox does.  So can we deal simply with things that are fun, and business things that MUST be dealt with?  

Can't we all just get along?  Or make a decent attempt to?
