I believe Baron Armand has had some great suggestions.

As someone who is striving to learn still I find the idea of the college
appealing - be it a war college or an everything-under-the-sun college.  I
especially like the idea of it being something set in preperation for War.
I myself will probably not be going to War, but that does not dismiss the
fact that I recognize and feel pride that it could be my Barony that helps
support the effort of the Kingdom in it's endevors in War and you could
count on me to help where I can.

On Defender, it just seems like too much of a weight to move both events and
while we might have to tighten the belts and expect a low turn out we could
put more focus into making the event fun and enjoying ourselves by being
more creative.  I especially liked the idea of Baron Armand's of having
events spread out over the duration of the weekend.  I know that this
proposal alone would convince me of possible camping when I had been
thinking about day-tripping myself.  I know there is talk of when to have
what Champions chosen when, I think the idea of having all Champions chosen
at Defender would perhaps give it a more celebrated air and bring out people
who want those titles.
