Oh, Merryn, I am so sorry for your loss!  It is one of the hardest things to do, letting go of someone you love so they can rest in peace.

I know how busy everyone's lives are right now, but I'm asking for a small favor. My dearly beloved fur-baby and trusted companion kitty of 16 years took the Rainbow Path today. Her fierce little heart would not let go dispite massive damage to her lungs, liver, and other organs from a very fast growing cancer which had spread through her little body like a ravenous hoarde of locusts. She travelled today to her last Vet trip ever wrapped in her favorite white cashmere pashmina. Burial will be tomorrow in the special place in the Riney's backyard where Kiera rests, also. Those of you who met Basti know what a clever, funny, and adorable little furry she was. She is being Honored on the "altar" tonight here at home guarded by candles, a few cherished tokens of her life, and  by  a few of the toys and things she loved. Spare a moment from whatever you are doing, please, and wish Basti a
safe journey to the Golden City in the Stars.



Heaven is a wee bit brighter tonight. There is a very small little pinkish colored star winking down on my house that was not there last night. I suspect it's Basti. I miss her already.
