[Elfsea] Children's Activities at Steppes Artisan

Yes, there WILL be children's activities at Steppes Artisan this Saturday!
We will be at a table in the public space and will be making some
heraldic devices with craft foam and doing some other craft projects.
I am planning on starting about 9:30.  We hope also to have a visit from
a knight.  We will adjourn at 11:30 for two hours, and then at about 1:30 we will be taking
a tour to talk to the artisans who are not occupied with the judges'
questions.  There will also be a children's display of items made in the
last 2 years, so please feel free to bring items for this.  I am also
attempting to sponsor a contest for children's playthings that have
been made by the kids, with divisions for ages 5-8, 9-12, and 13-17.  I am not
sure if word of this contest has really gotten out, but hopefully there
will be some entries.  If not, then maybe we can do it next year.  I
will have index cards on site that can be used for documentation (the
kids can fill out info about what they made, how, how it relates to
period etc if they wish).  Please feel free to contact me at
