Passing of the Cloak competition will be held on Friday, July 3rd, at Wiley and Bella's home, 1620 Gill St., Blue Mound, TX 76131, at 7:30PM, SCA time.

Daniel DeTankard, current holder of the cloak, has set the criteria and it is as follows:

 

"Gwenllian,
 Let’s make it
 
1 piece that must be based on something from the SCA period, that is, between 400 and 1650. (What counts, for example: singing or playing a period music piece; reciting a period poem, or part of a Canterbury or Decameron tale, which can be shortened; writing a poem about an actual  battle or other period historical event; singing a “timeless” but authentic ballad, etc.) and
1 piece that’s just whatever the contestant considers their best piece."
 
You have 1 week until the competition, so get your thinking caps on and have fun with it!
 
Directions:  Take your best route to North Loop 820 westbound and exit at the Blue Mound/Hwy 156 exit.
Go North to Gill St. and go right to 1620 Gill St., on the right side of the street.  You may also go to your favorite direction site and download a map.
 
Please bring a CHAIR, your bardic material/instruments, your beverage of choice and food to share.
