Sounds like a fun shoot. I would like to post my objection to the exclusion
of crossbows in *any* archery competition, however. I've heard all the
arguments on both sides, but crossbows are period and more so than many of
the recurves we allow. Since each has its strengths and weaknesses it should
be possible to set up some scenarios in each competition where one or the
other is a better choice. Competitors who do both could switch for maximum
advantage to those more broadly skilled.

Castle Shoot (crossbow, long bow, recurve) 
Window slot at 30 yards (long bow and recurve) 
Graphic Target at 35 yards (long bow and recurve) 
Standard target at 40 yards (long bow and recurve) 
Moving Dragon (cross bow, long bow, recurve.) 

It has been my pleasure to serve as Elfsea's Defender.
 

Lord Daniel has agreed to bring targets and animals for the Youth to shot at
and to hunt.  Times for the Youth Shoot will be announced.

 

Thank you for everyone's help. This year's Archery tournaments will be
challenging!
