My name is Axel von Ulrich and I am the creator of Edge of Knight Medieval
Theatre Company. We are a traveling medieval theatre company based out of
North Fannin County, Texas. Creatively blending theatre arts with medieval
history and weaponry, our two hour live show consists of comedy, drama,
adventure, and sword fighting. The original script and incredible sword
fighting is enhanced by period accurate medieval weaponry, authentic
clothing, a moving soundtrack, and spectacular stage props including a 30
foot castle with working drawbridge. Our sword fighting combines elements
of fencing and martial arts with medieval sword fighting which has never
been done before due to the size and weight of the two handed medieval
broad swords. The result is high energy and fast paced fight sequences.
Also unique is our use of real swords, strikes aimed at the body, sword
throwing, and sword spinning.
We recently have an open position for a knight and we thought we would turn
to the SCA for help. We are looking for a male, between 24 and 40 years of
age, coodinated and in shape, familiar with the broad sword, can memorize
lines, learn accents, and perform without fear in front of hundreds of
people. This is a paid position. We have performances scheduled and need
someone immediately. They would be required to provide their own medieval
clothing and drive to Fannin County for weekly practices as well as be
available for all performances.
More information can be found at our website www.edgeofknighttheatre.com.
Your assistance in this matter is most appreciated!
