[Elfsea] Business Meeting

Because it does represent two different concepts.

Business meeting is where, primarily, officers get together to discuss the direction of the barony, events in the near future, and possible expenses to bring before the assembled populace.  This meeting does not require officers to wear garb.

At Moot, Her Excellency and I hold court.  Items requiring formal approval by the populace is presented, discussed, and voted by the assembled populace.  Also, it is meant as a more social get together, whereas business meeting is first and foremost a meeting.  Lastly, the officers are required to wear garb, since we are holding court.

Currently, the officers, Her Excellency Amalia and I are testing ideas to improve interest and participation by the populace in the running of the barony.  This is one of those ideas, to hold the occasional business meeting before Moot.  Recent life events required Her Ladyship Elspeth to change the meeting time of business meeting in August.  At that time, we, the officers, and interested members of the populace will discuss our options for future business meetings.
