 Greetings all, 
Archers our prayers have been answered, our local diviners foretell this coming Sunday shall be dry & sunny with clear skies and mild light breezes!  Perfect weather for our Steppes Archery Practice!  
Come join us this Sunday as we gleefully loose wooden shafts down range after our long cold, wet & windy spell!  Our Steppes Archery Practice is held 2 PM until dark at the Mesquite Westlake Sports Center 601 Gross Rd. (just about one mile east of 635).  
Garb is not required but requested to help generate interest within our SCA group and what we are doing.  There is no longer shade of the trees but we would likely rather sit in the warm sunshine anyway.  Be sure to bring your camp chairs as there is little seating near the range.  Also snacks & drinks if wanted, ice water is provided by the pro shop.  Otherwise plan to travel light as it is a bit of a walk into the range itself.  No equipment, no problem, we do have loaner gear on a first come first served basis and we have not run out during any practice yet.  We also have veteran archers willing to offer tips and/or instruction to help you improve those archery scores.  
Spring events are closer than you think so better start working on honing those bow skills now!  
Please note we are recruiting deputy archery marshals to train so if you ever wanted to learn to become an archery marshal, now is your chance.  Also we are still taking applications for the office of baronial archery marshal.  If interested please contact me, our baroness or our seneschal for assistance in submitting the application.  It is a bit of work but an important baronial office and very rewarding job!
