Greetings, Elfsea.

The follow-up notes from our 10/17/16 Officers Meeting are attached at the
end of this email.

A quick reminder that our October populace meeting is this Monday, October
24th, at 7pm and will be at our new location, *the front banquet room in
the Buffalo Wild Wings located at 1933 Airport Freeway in Bedford.*

We have some business to vote on and a great look at some future plans.  I
hope you can make it!

·      *October 24th Populace Meeting at **NEW LOCATION**:  Buffalo Wild
Wings 1933 Airport Freeway, Bedford.  At this meeting, we will be opening
bids for Elfsea Defender, Braggarts’ War Service Coordinator for 2017, and
the Braggarts’ War 2018 Autocrat (who will serve as the “Shadow-Crat” for
all things in 2017’s event. Also populace will be asked to vote on the 2017
Financial Policy--- copies will be available at the meeting.*

*Boy Scout Jamboree Demo to be held November 11-12, 2016*: If interested in
helping--- contact Lord Franklin Whitenhale.  Maps of the areas are
available, as well as the opportunity to camp Saturday night as well.

Baronial College monies were deposited; Elfsea received a $233 dollar check
from Gulf War volunteer activities.  Preparing for End of Year Reports to
Kingdom.

Practices are going very well with good attendance.  First series of
waivers and reports are looking good.  October 29th is also a work-day at
the B&B house--- and ARMOR REPAIR will be occurring.  Come lend your
expertise to review and repair of current Chiv loaner gear. Lord Hugi is
figuring out new ways to get more fighters on site.

*One applicant is waiting review/approval by Kingdom to replace Master
Caelin**.* All practices occurred under Deputy Marshal Kermegan of Taransay
(HE Pyro).  4 folks showed.  Next practice is this Sunday, October 23rd,
the day after the Demo.

First Youth Academy was held on 10/12/16 and had 7 participants for crafts
and learning.  The next one is scheduled for fighter practice on Nov. 2nd
and the children will be making wax tablets!  Encourage parents to bring
their children---and join in.

The *next Academy will be November 7th*, 7:00pm- at the Buffalo Wild Wings
in Bedford (183/Central)

TOPIC: Martial Arts of All Types (Taught by: Multiple instructors)  Chiv,
Rapier, Archery, Ballista, Thrown weapons… and multiple stations for
one-on-one conversations with the exjperts.



NOTE: *Garb is optional for attendees (but required for instructors).
There is no requirement to buy food or drink to attend, but you cannot
bring in outside food/drink.*

*OTHER NOTES:*

*At Coronation, it was announced that the Arc Dior level would be expanded
from archery to all missile/thrown weapons, including ballista.



*Samhain will be at camp Graham Ball, about 2.5 hours from DFW and will
have Middle Eastern Dance competitions and Royal Huntsman.
