[Elfsea] Scribal Guild Meeting 2/1 @ 7pm

Our first February Scribal Guild meeting will be held at my home as Silvana
has previous commitments. Bring your projects, bring your completed
charters.

7-9pm, 3328 Meadow Wood Ln, Bedford, TX 76021

Have you ever wanted to create an *ORIGINAL* scroll for our Barony? Well,
NOW YOU CAN!
For this exercise you do not have to be a calligrapher! If you can paint
charters you can do this!

Here's how to prepare: Google search! You need to bring some links to
images from medieval manuscripts that you like. This can be as simple as
searching out "medieval illumination" on a google image search. Or if you
are familiar with websites such at the British Library, the Getty Museum,
the Morgan Library and Museum and others, you could go straight there.
Early period, late period, it doesn't matter, just pick some things that
appeal to you and that you would like to paint. You do NOT need to print
them! We will handle that here.

That's it. My goal is everyone who brings images should be able to leave
tomorrow night with line drawings for an original Baronial award that they
can then paint at home or at our next scribal meeting on 2/16 (in
conjunction with the Sewing Day).
