[Elfsea] New Elfsea Awards

Greetings Elfsea! Yesterday, His Excellency Absolon and I announced two new
awards for our barony. They will soon be added to our website but until
they are added, if one should feel the urge to submit someone for the
award, please send an email directly to the baron and myself.

Or Solar of Elfsea:
Youth Award of Elfsea.
The solar of a castle was a main hall type of space but meant for the use
of family only. As this fits Elfsea’s theme of castle based awards we felt
this was the most appropriate option for a youth award.
The insignia is a gold or yellow sun. As this is an award any youth can
receive for any endeavor, we felt this insignia would be most appropriate
as a sun has multiple rays of light.

Azure Peacock of Elfsea:
Award to recognize great endeavors of heraldry.
A peacock is known for its beauty and brilliance. In the SCA, heraldry does
such an amazing job of elevating the experience of The Dream. We felt it
was good to have an award to recognize great endeavors of heraldry. It
could be through banners, garb, pavilions, mugs, chairs, shields, etc.
Individuals receiving this award could be given it for any type of
heraldry: personal, baronial, principality, kingdom, etc. The insignia for
this award is a blue peacock in its pride as its meant to show its glorious
display of colored feathers. We felt this insignia would be most
appropriate.
