Fool’s Court Too He’s back... and this time he means business - Funny Business! His Royal Travesty, the King of Fools, Lord Raimond de Mora, invites you once again to join him for a day of relaxation and laughter. Get to know your neighbors, and visit with old friends. Who: The Barony of Elfsea What: Fool’s Court and Revel Too! When: Sunday, April 5th , 9 am to 10 p.m. Where: Lake Arlington Recreational Center Why: Because the King of Fools figures if you fell for it once, you’ll fall for it again! How much: There is no site fee, however, donations to the Barony will be gratefully accepted. Details: The main idea, besides the fact that His Royal Travesty wishes to hold court, is to relax and enjoy yourself. Fighter practice will be held in the morning, and board games will be available all day. Judging of the Dessert Competition will be followed by a potluck feast in the afternoon. Fools Court will be held in the early evening, and will include a Bardic competition. Dessert Competition: Desserts will be judged on appearance and tastiness. They need not be period, and no documentation is required. Recipes might be appreciated by other cooks. Bardic Competition: The theme for the Bardic Competition is, “What a Fool.” Bardic entries will be a story, song or poem. His Royal Travesty will judge the contest based on whatever he likes best. Of course we KNOW he would never respond to base flattery... Pot Luck: Meats, breads, desserts, cheese, vegetables, drink, etc. Please bring enough to serve at least 5 people. Alcohol is permitted on site but can only be consumed inside the building. Directions: Take your best route to Arkansas Lane in Arlington. Go west until Arkansas curves into Perkins Road. There is a split just before this curve. Take the right hand split and follow to the end. The hall is on the right. If you keep going straight, you will end up in the lake.
