<P>I got this from the SCA Garb list and thought someone might enjoy this. Isn't it interesting how fashion repeats itself? What's next Gates of Hell? Yippee!</P>

<DIV></DIV>>Hi Folks,
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>I was just at Macy's, and in their women's winter hat department, they
<DIV></DIV>>have wool felt hats, one style of which is *just like* the Arnolfini
<DIV></DIV>>man's hat, or the Albert of Bavaria statue, only not as tall, and not
<DIV></DIV>>quite as wide as Arnolfini's. It's brim is closer to the statue's hat,
<DIV></DIV>>and the crown is about 5" high instead of the maybe 8" of the statue (or
<DIV></DIV>>double all those dimensions for Arnolfini). Unlike many women's hats,
<DIV></DIV>>it's large enough for those of us with hair or larger heads.
<DIV></DIV>>
<DIV></DIV>>But it definitely says "Fifteenth century" to me. The brand is "Softie"
<DIV></DIV>>by Kates Canada and retails at $28. I can't find it on the Macy's website.
