<DIV><FONT style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #a89880">To be honest, I am not sure. There is no set amount of time or amount service. In fact it is not always the first award you may recieve. It is most commonly given as the first. I am a strong believer in the concept the SCA Awards are not and should not be given out in a specific sequence. These are not Merit Badges. There is no set list of things you must accomplish to recieve certain awards.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #a89880">The way I approach all awards is they are "rewards". If you spend all of your time focusing on awards, you may be missing out on the fun of learning something.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #a89880">Bear in mind that I realize you are asking a simple question. A question many before have asked before. The only thing I can suggest to some one is to have fun, learn what you can or want to, follow the ideals of this great organization, and not worry. If people see you and see you having fun, then you will be "rewarded".</FONT></DIV>
