And yet another.  Alaric Michael MacChlurain went through every permutation of schooling, from public school, to dropout, to boarding school, back to public school, to homeschool, to independent study.  Throughout all of this, he lost 2 years, which would have made his anticipated graduation date from high school May 2003.  This February, he sat for his GED and on February 14 of this year, received his certificate.

Among his homeschool/independent courses of study were quite a few medieval and renaissance subjects!
