<P>Unto Their Stellar Majesties, King Miguel de Oporto and Queen Conal Alexandria O'Riordain , Their Stellar Highnesses, Prince Ulsted the Unsteady and Princess Cateau D' Ardennes, and to Mistress Clarissa di Firenze, Seneschal of Ansteorra, and the populace of Elfsea encompassing Loch Ruadh, Dragonsfire Tor and the College of Threebridges, we send greetings,</P>

<P>We would like to take this opportunity to present ourselves as candidates for the position of Baron and Baroness of Elfsea. This letter will also act as an introduction of sorts for those of you that do not know us personally.</P>

<P>We thank their Highnesses for allowing this opportunity. We feel the same as many of the other candidates that by working together and along with the members of the populace the Baronial investiture will be a joyous event and worthy of the prestige involved with overseeing a barony of Ansteorra. The Barony of Elfsea has a history of honor and service. We know this well, as this is what we expect of ourselves.</P>

<P>Our SCA career has been one of service to the Barony and it’s supporting groups. We have held the offices of Seneschal, Exchequer, Knight Marshall, Finance Committee Chairman and are currently the Chronicler and deputy Seneschal. We have been the Steward for many of the Baronial events and supported numerous others. William was the first Captain of the Guard to lead Elfsea troops in battle at Gulf War. Cassandra has also served as a deputy to the Central Region Seneschal.</P>

<P>Even though we have spent much of our time within the Barony, we do have a "Kingdom awareness" or presence. Our time as entourage to Baron Arthur and Baroness Robin, allowed us to create many friendships throughout the Kingdom. Among our friends are those who have served as Kings and Queens, Kingdom Officers and Landed Baron and Baronesses. Should we have the opportunity to serve the Barony as Baron and Baroness, we will have a support network with decades of collective knowledge. </P>

<P>Some members of the populace may not realize that we have been playing in the Barony since 1989. This is due to us having to lessen our role and activity during the time of their Excellencies Llywelyn/Xene and Galen/Allessandra. We had a major change in our mundane life, which had to be addressed. Even with that going on, we were still able to spearhead the Twentieth Year Celebration t-shirts and cook two Yule Revel feasts for the Tor. We have become more active starting towards the end of Galen and Allessandra’s period. This has given us the opportunity to meet many of the new faces that joined during that time and work with them on various Baronial projects.</P>

<P>We will use all of this history and support to work with the Barony towards the goals established by the populace. This group has newfound enthusiasm and it will be a pleasure to work with them towards an even greater future. We believe in listening to people. Everyone has a voice and should be given every opportunity to use it. The leaders of the Barony are not only the ones with titles and brass hats. They are the people that work behind the scenes to make sure that everything is covered and running smoothly. We see it as our responsibility to make sure that those people are recognized. People should feel like they have ownership of the Barony.</P>

<P>Our interests, besides service, include cooking, jewelry making and blacksmithing. William is a squire to Sir Arthur of the Fen, Baron Elfsea. Mundanely, we have our own company specializing in promotional products and recognition awards. Our son Jared, seventeen months old, is the absolute joy of our lives.</P>
