<P>We all need to have a planning meeting about many things about Gulf War. Right after the holidays I plan on trying to get together with many people at a fighter practice so we can make some plans as to cooking, packing,loading and unloading, and camping space. Elfsea and Steppes have in the past camped close and shared some common area. This worked to some and did not work for others.I would like to make this war campsite free of great hostility and animosity.If we all can talk about this on the list without getting **snippy or mean **we can find out what people need and want from this Gulf War.Think about these questions and answer if you want to.</P>
<P>How *period* do you think Elfsea should look? I have always liked the idea of putting period up front and along the road, and hiding as much mundane as possible.</P>
<P>Is *period * important to you? Not extremely important, but the barony has the resource to make a nice looking camp.</P>
<P>Do you go to the war as part of Elfsea supporting Ansteorra? Always go to support Elfsea.</P>
<P>Do you go to war to fight for Ansteorra? Lands crew and Marshalling (which I have been accused of fighting from this position)</P>
<P>Do you want to camp with Steppes? I think they are great neighbors. We just need to better coordinate land alottments.</P>
<P>Do you want to have group cooking plans? >Big or small groups? See original post about a Chicken Fry Friday evening. Group size, smaller is easier to handle and not everyone likes meal plans.</P>
<P>Do we need to bring big blue? >If so where do you want to put it? Big Blue should go be the main field as a big visual rally point for our troops. I have afford up my big white tent, which you may remember from defender, as a common area for both Elfsea and Steepes in Camp. This will allow more camping space by not having 2 common areas.</P>
<P>Do we want a shade tent at the castle area? Big Blue covers that area well.</P>
<P>Do we need a camp mom? HI MOM.... sorry, if someone wants to volunteer, it would be nice, but we are all adults and should be able to handle a week togehter.</P>
<P>How much land do you *really* need? Enough for a bed and some supplies, but I am share tent space with others.</P>
<P>Do we need a big truck? Not as big as in the past, but it has come in handy to move Baronial gear.</P>
<P>Are you going to help load and unload this big truck? I have not put anything on the truck since we started using one, but I have helped load it on site at the end of the event every year.</P>
<P>There are many more questions I have not thought of but if we can think and talk about these things in a calm way before we are in the month of the war we might be able to forgo some of the bickering and fighting that have plagued other war trips.</P>
