10.0pt;font-family:Arial'>Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth (old
Carswell AFB) will be having their first Open House and Air Show in four years
this Saturday, May 15.</span></font></p>
<p style='margin-left:.5in'><font size=2 face=Arial><span style='font-size:
10.0pt;font-family:Arial'>This show is a little unusual in that it will be
mostly local talent. All of the base's active and reserve duty squadrons
will be participating. These include aircraft from the Navy, Marines, Air
Force, and Army and Texas Air Nartional Guard - F/A-18's, F-16's, C-130's, etc.</span></font></p>
<p style='margin-left:.5in'><font size=2 face=Arial><span style='font-size:
10.0pt;font-family:Arial'>In addition; Dallasite Jan Collmer will fly an
aerobatic routine in his FINA Extra 300L, an F-14 Tomcat will be coming in from
Oceana, Va., a WW-II P-51 and P-47, and a Marine Corps AV-8B Harrier "Jump
Jet" will be flying. A Lockheed company test pilot will also be
doing an F-16 flight demostration similar to the one flown at international air
shows. Several other aircraft will be on static display, from modern jets
to WW-II warbirds. </span></font></p>
<p style='margin-left:.5in'><font size=2 face=Arial><span style='font-size:
10.0pt;font-family:Arial'>And since there will be no headline act like the Blue
Angels or T-Birds, a mock battle will climax the show. A B-52
Stratofortress and F/A 18 Hornets will make low-level high-speed simulated bomb
runs on the airstrip, followed by army paratroopers jumping from a C-130 and
helicopters delivering Humvees and APC's to simulate a ground assault on the
airbase. Expect lots of pyrotechnics.</span></font></p>
<p style='margin-left:.5in'><font size=2 face=Arial><span style='font-size:
10.0pt;font-family:Arial'>Free Admission. Free Parking. Blankets
and lawn chairs are permitted. No coolers or pets allowed.</span></font> </p>
