All ladies deserve better than to be referred to as a "ho". Someone I spoke to last night couldn't conceive how I could find the shirt amusing. I guess I can because to me the term used is not a societal standard or I should say not a polite societal standard. I saw the shirt as a parody or satire of people who would use it as a general term for the female gender. Perhaps it is my own biases showing but I find it hard to imagine someone who reads Shakespeare on a regular basis as someone who would also use the term in the context proposed--as a generality. I guess it doesn't work me up in the same way because I know that people who would seriously use that word in a manner that would included any woman without regard to her -- to avoid another derogatory term--- "standards of practice" are not people I would wish to associate with anyway. Of course I am also a much more roughspoken woman that most--much to my contemporaries chagrin at times I am sure--which tends for me to consider context, manner and object of conversation before judging a word outright. At least when I am sober.<BR>
