are few and hard to reach people. Most that do it, want to sell you their

a jig for reheading. They might have posted instructions, I am not sure.

<div>A frame that held the hide tight. A jig that pressed the drum into
the hide, that could be tightened. Different hides produced different tones,
and also the pressure had to be just right. Almost to the point of breaking
the drum or the hide. Also the glue mattered. Has been a long time since
reading about it. </div>
<div>There used to be a drum maker that came to Scarbourough, and he would
consider reheading drums. But it had to be out of season, as the fair schedule
was his living. </div>
