assistance in giving of clothing, monies etc we can all be overwhelmed. I fell
confident that many of us want to be able to do something but due to our own
limited resources giving money, clothes, food etc just isnt feaseable. What some
of us might can give is *time* however. Please remember that many of the
displaced people from Katrina are being evacuated and are coming to our area.
Both Dallas and Tarrant Counties are receiving refugees. Some of the temporary
shelters will be just that, *very* temporary for 48-72 hours, while others are
more "temporary permante" and are being set up for weeks to months if needed.
Regardless of how long all of these shelters will need local workers to assist
in getting refugee information, helping in getting families reunited, and in
getting the refugees hooked up with local resources. I am sending this link
which is for Tarrant County resouces that not only can someone assist in the
relief efforts but also be able to give information if you should be able to
take in a person or family that has been displaced and in need of getting in
touch with local resources. </FONT></DIV>
