<html><head><style type="text/css"><!-- DIV {margin:0px;} --></style></head><body><div style="font-family:times new roman,new york,times,serif;font-size:12pt">The theme for the Bardic Competition at the Shannon River Raid this coming weekend will be: Honoring Our Ancestors.<br><br>The competition will be in three rounds. <br><br>All competitors will compete in the first two rounds, and each of these rounds must be in a different style (bard's choice).<br>That is, the first piece may be a song, poem, story, or instrumental, and the second a different style from the first.<br>At least one piece should reflect the theme.<br>Verbal statements as to each piece being either Period or in a Period style are not required, but will lend extra consideration in judging.<br>The judges will determine who should go on to compete in the third round.<br><br>The third round may be in any style. <br>Again, extra consideration will be given to Period or
