<html><body><div style="color:#000; background-color:#fff; font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12pt"><div style="RIGHT: auto"><SPAN style="RIGHT: auto">Speaking as someone who has been critical of the SCA,I want to say I pretty much AGREE with Caelin on Andrede.I've played off and on for about 30 years.I'm a nobody and there are things I don't like about the SCA but generally it is better than the mundane world.I'm not so sure about the "creative" part;frankly,I've been disappointed there.The SCA sometimes seems to me to be a little too set in its ways but that's true about people outside the SCA too.I want to say that I've met some special people in the SCA and THAT experience keeps me coming back when I drift away.I hope you won't give up on the SCA yet.I'm disappointed sometimes,too,but I think it's worth staying and I hope you have some experiences that change your mind.</SPAN></div>

Despite being run by people who have the good and bad attributes of people, this is a marvelous organization. The average SCA person is nicer, more honest, and more intelligent than the average population. We are full of creative people and people who cherish honor and chivalry. Every group will have people who do not live up to the ideals of the group and they will stand out and be noticed because of their being the exception. But the SCA has many fewer of them than most.</SPAN></div>

This was to outfit young Wolfhart, properly, Now that he is 16, he wants to play with the big boys, especially the helm and metal shield. We agree to the price of 275, she said it was ours and said she would text me her address in the morning. I had even told her we could come up last night and get it, with cash in hand of course. No she said morning would be better.</div></DIV>

On our way there, I received another text- Her son had three other interested people, and the price was now 300 -who ever got to her house first with the correct amount got it. I tried calling her-no answer, we were in Bedford so we continued. We weren't first because they would not even answer the door.</div></DIV>

<div class=yiv1751731747MsoNormal>Myself(as a single mom) and children(they are now20,16&12) have been paid members since 2004. According to the recent BlackStar we are about average in play time. Also one of the reasons people leave again according to the BS is bad experiences-this is one of them(as well as our last event we attended). I hope the person who purchased the Armour's first fight is against a VERY strong fighter. I generally am not a vindictive person- but the experience today is how I feel the SCA is head towards.</div></DIV>
