GE - Gate's Edge Reminders

Greetings to all from Stephen Macthomas!

Just a few brief reminders this time around ...

First, Gate's Edge Officers' is this coming Monday, the 26th, at my home.  
This meeting is open to all who have any interest in (a) the business of the 
canton, (b) getting together with your friends on a Monday night, (c) holding 
an office either now or in the future, and/or (d) finding out where I live 
and terrorizing my cat.

If you've never been to one of these meetings, please contact me privately at 
stephenmacthomas at aol.com OR give me a ring at 281-651-0781 and I'll get you 
directions.  The more the merrier, as always.  The meeting starts at 7:30 pm 
but usually folks start arriving at 7:00 or so.  Speaking of arriving early 
...

The seventh weekend of TRF is rapidly approaching, and there's much planning 
and preparation left to do.  I'd like to hold a planning meeting on Monday 
night at 7:00 pm *before* officers' to discuss who's doing what and make sure 
all our ideas are either plans or afterthoughts.  Your attendance is most 
appreciated.  If you want to come but can't, drop me a line and I'll let you 
know what was discussed.

(Lady Maureen, I've included you on this particular mailing so that you can 
invite who you wish from Westgate.  I'd also like to hold one more meeting 
that's predominately Westgate members to be sure everyone involved is in the 
loop and doing what they want to do, perhaps in conjunction with Westgate's 
November populace?  Let me know your thoughts when you get a chance, thanks.)

Lastly, I'd like to announce the creation of the new Gate's Edge Mailing List 
hosted by the Ansteorran Majordomo!  This centrally administered list will 
allow the members and friends of Gate's Edge to communicate with one another 
about canton business or interests without inadvertently leaving someone out 
of the loop.  To subscribe, do either of the following:

1)  Go to http://lists.ansteorra.org/lists.html and find Gate's Edge in the 
first pull-down menu on the page.  Select it, click Options, and follow the 
directions on the page that comes up next!

2)  Send an e-mail to majordomo at ansteorra.org and put the words "subscribe 
gatesedge" (without the quotes) in the body of the message.  Be sure you 
write gatesedge in all lowercase letters, as one word with no punctuation.  
IMPORTANT:  If you send this e-mail from an address *other* than the one you 
wish to receive Gate's Edge mail, be sure you send "subscribe gatesedge 
<e-mail address>" in the body, where <e-mail address> is the address you wish 
to receive the Gate's Edge mail at.
