insidious marketing scheme. Regardless, they are no
doubt benefiting.

*Gerund: jer'und. A kind of verbal noun, which governs
cases like a verb. [Usually ending in 'ing']

e.g.  Playing   "Playing the piano is one of his
hobbies".
