Na,  it's supposed to be "Armored Combat" practice.

Ansteorra doesn't have "heavy" and "light" per SCA definitions

Unless he was trying to make fat jokes.

PS:  Referring to "armored" combat as "chivalric" combat is actually a pet
peeve of mine.  It seems to imply that people who swing rattan are more
chivalrous than people who practice other forms of combat.
