Did you divine, O Great Seer, that I am planning to attend tonight's
event? Are people going in garb or in mundane clothing?

Greetings all, and sorry for the lateness of the post, but visions only
come when they will. I see a future where piracy upon the high seas is
more entertainment than terror ... where mural-sized paintings move and
talk and play music ... where Orlando Bloom avoids being typecast as a
pretty-boy elf ...

... and tonight at AMC Willowbrook 24, at 7:00 pm, you can too!

The Gate's Edge Seer's Guild is a wondrous opportunity to show all in
your time period your gift of Future Sight, to explore the possibilities
that the future beyond the year 1600 shows us ... it's also a sad, sorry
excuse to get together every so often and do something that has nothing
to do with the SCA and slap it on the calendar. This time out, by
popular demand, we're going to buckle our swashes, swab that deck and
try to avoid walking the plank by taking in this summer's best
theme-park-ride-turned-cinematic-epic
... Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl!

So that we can all sit together, I'm asking that everyone get there with
enough time to buy your tickets and meet in the main lobby by 7:00 -
showtime's at 7:15. For those wanting to plan their evening, be aware
that the movie clocks in at 143 minutes, just shy of two and a half
hours. Ticket prices are $8.50 for adults, $5.50 for kids, and $6.50 for
seniors. The movie's rated PG-13. If you want to avoid those crazy
lines that can pop up at theaters these days, you can always buy your
tickets online at a host of different sites and pick them up at a
special window at the box office. Quicker and easier than standing in
line outside being eaten by bugs.

If you're not sure where AMC Willowbrook 24 is, and you trust Mapquest
to get you there, here's the link to the map and directions query:
http://www.moviefone.com/showtimes/theater.adp?page=map&theaterid=6058&d
ate=
20030728. Otherwise, the number for the theater is 281-319-4262.

Hope to see many of you there!

Snorri
