[Gatesedge] RE: [Coastal] Spam???

I've had very little problems with SPAM on the Gatesedge list, though I have
received almost everything that the other lists do as the admin. We're set
to posts from members-only or with admin approval, though if it's a trusted
source I'll add that address to an approval filter. Any address that send
SPAM to the list is added to a banned address list, which means their items
are automatically rejected and they're banned from ever subscribing to the
list from that address. Haven't found anyone persistent enough to subscribe
to the list in order to SPAM it, but if I ever do (knocking on wood) I'll
most likely unsubscribe and ban that addy.

And yes, I know this is off-topic in some ways, but this does deal with the
business of the SCA - electronic communication - plus I feel that it's good
for the folks that subscribe to my list to know how it's set right now. It
seems to be working well and I haven't received any complaints.
