I was thinking and wondering...(Oh, my! Y'all duck now)

Y'know, crowns can't have too many insignia and Modius was calling for
insignia to be given.

Groa used to head up the insignia guild for Stargate. I also *believe* the
college of heralds actually made a position for that.
Question:
Is Groa still the head of the insignia guild for Stargate?
Does it every meet?
Is there a position in the herald's college for this or not?
Is it active?

*I'm* thinking that it might be fun to paint insignia along with scrolls at
the Tuesday night Scribal meeting. I have some supplies and most of the
badges are really easy to paint. Sable Comets, Cranes, and Thistles aren't
hard and other ones like the Rising Star's etc. aren't hard either. Cost is
minimal. $4-5 for the wooden disks, some acrylic paint (mostly gold and
black) some urethane spray to make them a bit shiny, and some thin ribbon to
hang them on.
Question:
Would Lord Eric mind this?
Would anybody else like to do this?
When are those scribal nights again?

Another thing...when is the next archery meet? Where can I get a pair of
finger tabs? Is it possible to buy a thumb ring to shoot with or do I need
to make (have made) one by hand?

More things...how many from GE are going to go to Ravensmarche? I think it
would be neat to camp together if we can. I will be going over during the
day Friday to set up camp and get ready for the event. I'm the volunteer
coordinator for the Ravensmarche event. Would anybody like to camp with me?
Dolfin? Aylwin? Caitlin? Ian? Maria? Anybody?

More and more things....when is the next stitch "n" *itch? Is it at Snorri
and Groa's or at the church?

My, My, My....I think I need to go lay down now with a cold compress on my
head.

You are not an archeologist trying to construct a society that has been
lost. You are a historian who is preserving what is now for the future to
learn about us.The only SCA historians who will be SCA archeologists will be
our heirs if we, as historians today, fail to do our jobs properly.
