[Gatesedge] Relief Assistance Inquiry

To the Populace of Gate's Edge,

As you know our area is now hosting those who have
been forced from their homes by hurricane Katrina.  I
know many in our group who are already actively
helping friends, family and strangers during these
hard times.  My question is this: Do we wish, as a
group, to take up donations for a specific cause
and/or donate our time as a group to a local need?

Our populace soon approaches, it might be nice to take
up a collection there.  I am personally interested in
helping our local school districts cope with the rapid
influx of students who have no school supplies and
dedicating time at the food bank.  The question really
boils down to, are we interested in helping out as
individuals, or as a group?  And if it is as a group,
where do we want our efforts to be focused.
