[Gatesedge] Newsletter Deadline

Greetings

I have recently had to answer this question to several of the Shire
officers.  Thus I have decided to let the entire populace know the reason
for the deadline being the 15th of the month.

I have to wait until all the officers and guild leaders send me their
postings - so I can't start working on the newsletter until the 15th. On the
16th or 17th, I wrap it up and email it to the deputies for them to review
it and print it.  Then we get together and review it - making sure that
everything is on the correct line/page.  If there are changes to be made -
we make the changes and reprint.  If there are no changes, then Tony prints
all the copies and gets it to me by the last Monday of the month so the
newsletter can get in the mail before the first of the month.

It takes the Black Star an entire month to get it done.  I am only asking
for 2 weeks.  Several of the officers are wanting me to push it back so I
would only have a week to do the newsletter.  No matter when the posting
deadline is I have people sending me their postings after it has passed.

If I am to complete the newsletter by the deadline I have as an officer -
the deadline for anyone submitting items to the newsletter is the 15th.

Now, if someone else thinks they can do a better job of it and get the
newsletter out in a week's time - feel free to apply for the office of
Chronicler starting August 1st.  As my warrant will be ending soon after
that.
