Oh thank you Sir Alexis!

We here in South Coastal Region know many make a sacrifice to travel a long
distance to the site, we figure we should feed you once you get here! Oh
dear knight, you missed the Friday night hospitality table by Stonebridge,
Seawinds Breakfast on Saturday morning and left over "clear your cooler"
breakfast on Sunday!

It was wonderful once again to hold this event with our fellow Shire of
Stonebridge Keep. Lord William Killian was an experienced autocrat! I thank
him for his tiredless effort. Lady Temair and company did an evening feast
that few could impress me as well - filling, tasty, and period!

The yummy lunch was held by the Company of the Sable Ram ( Company of Folks
that implify the ideals and continued service of Centurion Lawrence the
Rampant) and proceeds will go to improving this Duval County park. The shire
has already painted the bathhouses, reworked playground, added stall doors,
reworked benches and built a kitchen in an old corral tack room. The county
comissioners are excited to have the SCA use this wonderful site and offer
it free of charge. The park has over 2000 acres that majority of which is
cleared. It has flush privies, hot water showers with 2 bath houses, tons of
potable water spikets throughout site, and limited electricity. The
comissioners and county judge look forward to us spending money in their
community. They even have given us permission to build or improve the site.
( Can anyone say Abbey?)

The park was donated land to the County and had a long history as a cattle
ranch. The community seems to be extremely curious about the SCA and
throughout the day we get no less than 4 members of the community ask, What
ya'll doing?" some even stay for feast and for reveling throughout the
night. Please understand this is not a very affluent community, just good
old farm and ranch folk with hearts of gold. Being once a paramedic in Duval
county, I can tell you the community has a rich history including some very
famous people like "The Duke of Duval" - Archie Parr.

On Saturday night, we even had a local farmer come and sell his home bottled
honey from his own hives. Did anyone else see the deer at dusk watching us?
I do hope the gentle that took the picture of HRM Romanius at dusk with the
red sky behind our majesty does share. It was an amazing sight.

Hi all,
Just wanted to take a moment and compliment the fine folks from the
Shires of Seawinds and Stone Bridge Keep for doing an excellent job
hosting Coastal Invasion. The weather was perfect, the food prepared
for lunch and dinner was delicious, the fighters showed tremendous
spirit and enthusiasm and the hospitality was impeccable. On the way
home, everyone in my group agreed it was a great weekend. My
compliments also to HRM Romanius for his suggestion to put a few stakes
on the bridge battle. It was decided that the losing side should serve
feast to the winning side. After 3 hard fought matches, the 'debt' was
graciously paid as everyone enjoyed the fine meal prepared. After the
spirits had been revived, both sides launched back into an afternoon of
enthusiastic fighting until the day drew to a close. All in all, a fine
time for one and all.

With regards,
Sir Alexis
