  Need to keep the kids busy locally, this summer?  Want to learn a new craft project?  Interested in learning a salable craft for next Gulf Wars?

  The Tandy Leather Factory is offering a free, two morning course in beginning leather crafting.  They can only handle six or seven at once and three have already signed up - so if you're interested, call today.  You will need to buy the seven basic tool kit ($26.40), the tracing  film ($2.00), and the beginners book ($3.00), and of course leather.
  They will teach you to stamp, carve, and dye along with finish your leather project.
  The first course will teach you to use the basket weave tool to make a basket weave coaster, proper use of tracing film, make a transfer from film to leather, proper use of the 7 basic tools and the swivel knife, and begin floral carving.  
  The second Saturday morning will cover over the basket weave from week 1, finish the 1st floral carving, and start on the 2nd floral carving.

  The Tandy Leather Factory is located  at 921 FM 1960 W. Suite 104-B, Houston, Tx. 77090.  They are located in a shopping center located at FM 1960 and Red Oak Road, near a large store which sells nurses uniforms, and supplies.
