I would check to see if the Waller or Harris, (I do not remember which),
counties are under a burn ban or not.  If under a burn ban, then it does not
matter what the Girl Scout policy is.

Yeah.I'd say that qualifies as theft. Sigh. In any event, we need to make
sure we have plenty of alternate lighting for after dark at feast since the
lights in the pavilion won't be working. Eadric, we have had above ground
braziers with fire equipment handy in the past. Is this still ok at Camwood
do you know?

I would classify it as vandalism.  It is theft.

 

Copper thieves struck and pulled out all of the copper wiring.  Thus no
power for anything including the well.

In case you hadn't heard---

Apparently vandals have struck at Camp Camwood according to two lists.
Water and electricity will not be available this weekend so bring your own
water and lighting.

Dear Stargate/Loch Baronial Championship attendees,
Public service announcement: The event this weekend will not have power or 
running water because of site vandalism. Although there will be some water
in 
tanks, you might need to bring extra. Also, you may want to bring more
lighting

meeting  for April. There will also be children's activities, several
classes, 
and  charter painting during the day, and both a torchlight tourney and a
drum 
circle  to enliven the evening.
