Barony of Bjornsborg will be hosting a mini tourney/demo on Sat. April<BR>2nd
2005, in conjunction with Tejeda Middle School's 4th Annual History<BR>Faire
& Culture Fest. All are welcome to compete.<BR>The site which is at 2909
East Evans Road, San Antonio, TX, 78259 will be<BR>open for set up at 8am and
open to the public from 10am until 4pm. Armor<BR>inspection will be at 9:30am.
Prizes will be awarded, including an A&S prize<BR>for best educational
display.<BR>The History Faire is a 'timeline' history event with re-enactors
and<BR>performers from many cultures and time periods. It is a free event open
to the<BR>general public. Crowds have increased each year from about 300 in its
first<BR>year<BR>to over 1,000 last year. Site is dry. School groups sell food
and drink<BR>items.</TT> <BR><BR><TT>Directions, from SA, take Hwy 281 N.
outside of Loop 1604 to Evans Rd. (2nd<BR>light, at an HEB shopping center).
Turn right on Evans Rd and go past the stop<BR>sign. Watch for school on the
left and take first entrance, to the back of<BR>the school. SCA is under/near
big oak tree in middle of 'Hill'.<BR>Address is Tejeda Middle School. 2909 East
Evans Rd. 78259.<BR><BR>NB You might see a banner at the 1st set of lights at
Encino Rio. You can<BR>take that if you wish, it will take you past the Encino
Park Herb and Garden<BR>Show. In which case follow road through 2 stop signs
until you get to the<BR>intersection with Evans. Turn right on Evans then almost
immediately left into<BR>school. (You will pass an elementary school on Encino
Rio so don't get confused<BR><BR>;)<BR><BR>Also you can take Bulverde up from
1604 to lights at Evans. Turn left. Go<BR>through 1 stop sign, school will be on
right, take 2nd entrance into school.<BR><BR>Gates open for set up at 7am, (I
know Thorgard & I will be there then). All<BR>set up must be completed by
9:45 when 'Hill' is closed to vehicular traffic).<BR>After that time you could
still set up but, you would have to hand carry<BR>everything. History Faire
opens to the Public at 10am. It closes at 4pm.<BR><BR>Armor inspection is due to
start at 9:30am.<BR><BR>Coffee and pastries are meant to be available in the
Teacher's Lounge in the<BR>morning. Teacher's Lounge can be used for restrooms,
