Come join the Shire of the<VAR id=yiv572206500yui-ie-cursor></VAR><VAR id=yiv572206500yui-ie-cursor></VAR><BR>Shadowlands to kick off the season as we celebrate Shadowlands Shenanigans<BR>and 35th Anniversary this Saturday, September 1st. Compete in the<BR>chivalric, rapier, and archery tournaments. Come prepared for anything<BR>since you never know what the Shire may do! Partake of an A&S class in the<BR>covered pavilions.<BR><BR>Chivalric tourney will be bear pit with 7 rounds including unusual weapon<BR>style. Rapier tourney will be a ribbon tourney including off hand sock<BR>puppet. (Bring your own or make one site.) Archery tourney will have 6-8<BR>rounds at various challenging targets- crossbows and
handbows both welcomed.<BR id=yiv572206500yui_3_2_0_20_134618378002797></DIV>
<DIV id=yiv572206500yui_3_2_0_20_134618378002777>Participate in diverse entertainments including active games, dancing, and<BR>a potluck dinner in the evening. The shire will be providing meat. Bring<BR>something to share for the potluck. Enjoy the lush shade of this public<BR>city park with permanent pavilions, restrooms, and water access. No<BR>showers. Site is open to the public at all times. Monitor your possessions.<BR><BR>You do not need to bring your own pavilion. Some tables provided; please<BR>bring your own chairs.<BR><BR>Site fees: Adults (18 and over) $6; child (6-17): $3; children 5 and under:<BR>free; Non-member surcharge $5<BR><BR>Location: Sadie Thomas Memorial Park, 129 Moss Street, Bryan, TX 77803<BR><BR>Come for the anniversary and stay for our biggest annual demo for thousands<BR>of students at Texas A&M Open House on Sunday, September 2 from 1-5 PM.<BR>Chivalric and rapier combatants especially needed. Limited crash space
