As was announced at Round Table, Their Majesties and the Seneschal's Office<br>
have decided to implement new due dates for kingdom event bids. The goal<br>
is to get event sites that are best suited to meet our needs while dealing<br>
with the growing competition from other activities seeking to use these<br>
same sites.<br>
<br>
The result is that most event bids will be due 1 year prior to the event<br>
taking place. Of course, this is not feasible for all events since we are<br>
more than halfway through the year already and a "phase-in" process will be<br>
used in those cases.<br>

Bid due dates are listed below.<br>

All other events (Academies, Colleges, Symposia, etc.) will have bids due<br>
by December 31 of the year preceding when they are to take place. That<br>
means that if you want to host Academy of the Rapier in 2017, we need bids by<br>
December 31, 2016. If you wish to hold these events in the early part of<br>
the year, bids are due at least 4 months prior to the start date of the<br>
proposed event.<br>
