gentlemen should never be compromised.  Did I not say three times that I 
owed the "owner" for many kindnesses?  The request for a bout to recover the 
item was denied so a warning from my lips was the least I could do for 
someone who has shown so much kindness for me and mine.
It does not prevent you from still naming your price etc. etc. Friend 
Cyneric, just simply denies the sudden shock of the moment.
However, :) for denying you some of the more savory tidbits of your coup, I 
would be more than happy to compensate you with a couple of bottles of Mead 
from my own stores.
