It would not be hard to make a three man tower... that can be broken down to
parts no larger than 6x3'. make a base plateform on four wheels, put a
wooden socket/pin mount (the type used on Roman naval vessels for thier
scorpions) on top to hold a ballista... and voila... mobile artillary with
room to hold three on top... you can even hold three men in the safety of
the confines beneath...
the whole thing would breakdown to a size that it could easily fit in the
back of wolf's truck.
I also have a would-be SCAdian friend who is very competent in woodworking
who would chomp at the bit for an opportunity to build siege-weapons and
engines.
