Hello Glaslynders:

I'm sending this out for consideration. Anyone want to bid on these
events? If so, any ideas as to where we could host this? The visual arts
center would work, except for they want fighting outside and the space to
teach 5 classes at once - plus dance.

Let me know your thoughts ASAP.

Yours in service,
Lady Lavina

Subject: Request for A&S bids

Greetings unto the local Ministers of A&S of the Central Region,

I have just received a message from Mistress Charla Noel du Lac, the new
Kingdom Minister of A&S. She has asked that the regional officers pass on
the following information to our local officers:

> I am looking for a group or region to host King's College in June 2001.
> Please put the word out to your local officers immediately. Classroom
> facilities are needed (at least 5 to 8 classrooms), a space large enough
> to hold dance classes, as well as a hall for court/feast, though feast is
> optional. Outdoor space would also be nice for fighting and/or equestrian
> classes. I will be accepting bid until March 1st. This is a great
> opportunity for a small group or region to host a Kingdom level event.
>
> I am also starting a search for a group or region to host Kingdom Arts and
> Sciences Competition the first weekend of November 2001. A large hall with
> tables and chairs is needed. The hall should be able to hold at least 75
> tables. Kitchen facilities would be needed if the group would like to do a
> feast. Let's get the word out now. Bids will be due by August 2001.
>
> Gulf Wars X is right around the corner. There will be an Equestrian Arts
> and Sciences Display on Friday March 16th, in the Equestrian pavilion at
> the barn. All items entered must be equestrian related and documentation
> is required. Please encourage equestrians in your region to display. The
> Queens and Princesses from the various kingdoms will largesse their
> favorites. It is my hope to get the laurels to give critique as well. A
> Bardic Circle is scheduled for Friday Night, March 16th. The Arts and
> Sciences Grand Melee for Static Arts in scheduled for Saturday, March
> 17th. This competition requires documentation and the entrant must be on
> site to enter. There will also be various classes offered throughout the
> week. Check your Gulf Wars booklet once you get to site for times and
> location.
>
>
Katya, since you will not be at Steppes populace on Thursday night, I will
annouce this for you, and I will forward the part regarding equestrian to
Aimee for the guild.

Caterina (Tinya), email me privately as BOK may have a possible location for
Kingdom College.

To all, if your group is interested in submitting a bid for Kingdom College,
I will be glad to assist you with coordinating classes as I have done this
for the last two years for Elfsea Baronial College or by offering to
co-autocrat the event.

To all, if your group is interested in submitting a bid for Kingdom A&S (and
SOKOL Hall in Ennis sounds like an ideal location to me!) I will be glad to
assist you with organizing the competition or co-autocrating the event
provided I would still be able to display.

Thank you all for doing such a fine job locally and making me look good
regionally!

In service,

HL Julianna Vertue
Central Region Minister of A&S
