Officers
Our new Herald, Count Mahdi, received one submission. Watch the e-list
for the time and place of the next commentary.
The Knight Marshal, Lord Morgan Buchanan (the tall one), reported 4
practices with 4 new fighters and no injuries.
Minister of Arts Sciences, Lord Vincenzo Cellini announced the newest
Glaslyn Artisan - Honourable Lady Katya. Galen, a recent newcomer to our
area was chosen Glaslyn's Keeper of the Flame. Vincenzo hopes to have a
Bardic Arts Collegium before Fall Court
The Treasurer, Lord John de Irwyne, reports we still have money.
The Rapier Marshal, Don Brendan, was excited to receive two complete sets
of Baronial loaner gear. We have lost our indoor site due to the city
reshuffling the use of the Rec center facilities. If you know of a good
indoor site for Rapier Practice, please contact Don Brendan or the
Seneschal.
Our Hospitaler, Lady Clare, continues to receive newcomer contacts
(YEA!). She reports the office is badly in need of loaner garb in larger
sizes (XXL & XXXL) for both men and women. If you can help, please
coordinate with the Hospitaler regarding this.
Our Archer Marshal, Lord Jacques de Spinks, could not be at the meeting,
but sent news that Static Practice is continuing at the usual time and
location. A weekly Combat Archery practice is being added, at 8:00 am on
Sundays at the Eastfield College range.
The Chirurgeon, Lady Liadan, proudly announced two new chirurgeon
apprentices, Lord Brendon and Lady Anne the Spinster. She encouraged
everyone to continue to drink lots of water, and stay cool at events.
The Demo Coordinator, Lord Iames, reminded us of the Celtic Heritage
Festival coming up October 10-12. Please see the website for details.
Our Equestrian Marshal, Lady Aimee, was not able to attend
Please help our Historian, Elysia, to preserve our memories and heritage.
She relies on your contributions of pictures, old documents and
newsletters. Don't throw it away, pass it to her for our future members.

>From Their Excellencies:
They were quite impressed with the attendance at Business Meeting this
month.
They announced that bids for Baron/ess would close at the end of the
meeting.
Application letters were read by the applicants and there was a brief
Question and Answer session
Their Excellencies reminded everyone that the polling being taken by the
Crown does not necessarily guarantee that the Candidate(s) withe the most
"votes" will get the job. Our Dream is not a democracy, but a monarchy
and the new Baron/ess will be at the discretion of the Their Majesties.
The new Baron/ess will be announced at Steppes Fall Court, and Invested
at Twelfth Night.
