It is my understanding that H.E. Master Airaklee Wolf reads this mailing
list.

Here is the answer (and more) to the question you asked me:

List of Master of Arms in Ansteorra:

1.  Torgatai Blackwolf 07/12/1976-made Master of Arms during the time
Ansteorra was a region of Atenveldt. I can find which Atenveldt crown
elevated him if you wish but I think it may have been Koris.

2.  Jonathan DeLaufyson Macebearer-4/12/1978-made Master of Arms during the
Principality reign of Sean McFlamm of Ravenswaard and Katarina.

3.  Freana Geardson-05/17/1980-made Master of Arms during the reign of the
2rd Crown of Ansteorra, Lloyd von Eaker and Jocelyn Alleyne Reynard.

Therefore, *technically speaking* the 1st Master of Arms in the *kingdom*
was Freana.The Master of Arms which follow him are:

4.  Ivar Battleskald-03/14/1982-by Sigmund the Wingfooted and Sieglinda Syr

5.  Korwyn Marius Velius Ariannaild-05/26/1985-by Charles Inman McMoore (II)
and Arrowyn of Emerald Moore (II)

6.  Daniel Blackaxe-09/28/1996-by Mikael of Monmouthsire (IV) and Mikaela of
Monmouthshire (II)

7.  Airaklee Wolf-01/05/2002 by Duncan Arthur Ross the Black and Larissa
Alwynn Clarewoode.

So if you want to be strictly correct, only 5 Master of Arms have been made
during the time that Ansteorra has been a *Kingdom* and 7 total since we
were just an embryo in the belly of Mother Atenveldt. A rather exclusive and
select group by anyone's standards. :-) I'd even venture to say it is the
rarest of all awards in our kingdom.
