We work with the Division Cavalry Squadron for 1st Infantry Division. We're
are at a fairly secluded location without access to a lot of the amenities
offered for deploying soldiers. A lot of soldiers would like food items,
mainly snack food and candies. Instant drink mixes, such as Kool-Aid and
Gatorade are a welcome break from the water we are drinking every day. Some
soldiers would like DVDs and CDs to relax during their off-duty hours, and
several soldiers expressed interest in college-level textbooks and study
materials in a variety of subjects in order to get ahead in preparing for
college once their enlistments end. Magazines are great too, as well as
fiction novels. Anything you can send would be wonderfully appreciated.
Thank you all for your generosity in supporting our deployed troops!! You
have no idea how much it means to a soldier to know that he/she is making a
difference and is being supported by Americans at home!
I will send almost all of my Battletech novels. They said that
science fiction was good too. I also noticed that there is one woman in the
unit so maybe we can make her feel special somehow. Let me know what you
think
Luvin you wittle girl
