[Glaslyn] The Wolf and The Badger (as promised)

  The Wolf and the Badger stood
  with daggers in their hand.
  Both contesting mightly
  their right to stride the land.
  The Badger was the first to strike
  with lightning in his fist
  but his dagger was to short
  so no damage did exist.
  The Wolf then struck a mighty blow
  for the Badgers head,
  in hopes that the Badger
  soon would lay as dead.
  But dancing quickly into range
  the Badger did his best
  to lay the Wolf upon the ground
  for his eternal rest.
  Once again Wolf's dagger flew
  yet failed to leave a mark.
  " There's nothing there', 
  The Badger he did bark.
  With a laugh the Badger said
  " This dagger is too short,
  friend Wolf let us continue
  for this is joyful sport"!
  With laughter bursting from his lips
  the Wolf then tried a slice,
  the Badger did evade
  not once, not twice, but thrice.
  They both did battle mightly
  their daggers flying fast,
  untill one lay upon the ground
  The Badger breathed his last!
  The Wolf then stood over him
  a grin upon his mug.
  He reached down to his foe
  and drew him to a hug.
  " Brother that was great fun"
  the Wolf said with a grin,
  " But we need longer daggers"
  said his Badger friend.
  The watchers then did clap 
  the warriors on the back,
  and did discuss joyfully
  both defense and attack.
  When friends do battle
  not from anger or from strife,
  we learn the greatest lessons
  that will help us through this life.
  The minds the greatest weapon
  not the sword nor any blade,
  with comradery and with loyalty
  thats how friends are made.
  
  With sword and shield they teach us
  our loved ones to defend.
  To live with Honor, and with Chivalry
  That is our true end!
  Everyone who knows you two
  cannot live in fear.
  For you hold within your hearts
  all that we hold dear.
