Good Gentles,

What a fun event! A really nice site with a cozy hall perfectly
configured for this event. We had a great time and I think everyone who
attended really enjoyed it. The displays were wonderful. We (Vincenzo
and I) never cease to be amazed at how talented our people are.

The gentleman (whose name escapes me at the moment) who won in the novice
area displayed a gorgeous helm. He advised that it was the first one he
had ever made. If that is his first effort, well, we can expect great
things from his forge in the future. Personally, I was flabbergasted to
find out that it was not only his first effort but his first A&S. Very
impressive!

Lady Hanna Von Dahl (forgive me if I massacred your name) was named
Keeper of the Flame with a lovely display of her embroidery (is that the
correct term? or is it blackwork?). Very beautiful stuff.

And HL Elin the Timid won Artisan of the Flame with her impressive
display of dresses. They were almost completely hand sewn, well
researched, and
beautifully done. Vivat Elin!

Did I mention the classes? There were a number of classes at this event
also, in a nice informal format with enthusiastic participation.

And last but surely not least the food. Great tasting meat pies and some
beef wrapped around a delicious stuffing. Caramelized mild
onions, marinated mushrooms and a lovely salad along with wonderful
breads and superb desserts. Our only regret is that we were unable to
eat
more than we did. These people can feed us any time.

And, if you missed it, well, mark your calendars for next year. Lady
Micola, her co-autocrat (whose name I can't remember) and the entire
event staff did an amazing job. A wonderful, fun event by a hardworking
group.

Yours in Service,
