Guten Tag!

Loch Guardian is coming May 4-5, 2007!

Come compete for the Honor of representing the Barony
of Loch Soilleir!
Title competitions in Archery, Rapier, Chivalric
Combat, Youth Combat, and Equestrian Skills. It is at
Camp Camwood in Hockley, Texas.
More information is forthcoming.

In addition to the fighting activities at Loch
Guardian, there will be a non-titled Teamwork A&S
Competition.
In the Middle Ages almost everything created was a
team effort in some manner. Most people’s skills were
specialized, either by the Guild system or because of
the colleted manpower on a typical estate. So let’s
honor these artistic relationships of the past.

Types of Relationship:
Two experts of one art form working together to create
a finished work.
Example: Two cooks preparing one meal.

A master and apprentice(s) working together to create
a finished work.
Example: A metal coronet - the master completed the
cutwork but the apprentice did all the filing.

Two artisans of different medias working together to
create a finished work.
Examples:
Tools & Decorations: A bone carver made needles that
an embroider used to decorate a garment.
Materials & Finished Item: A spinner created thread
and a woodworker created weaving tablets, which a
weaver then used to create a finished band. Or a
woodworker made a box that a painter then decorated.

Rules:
1) Each entry is to consist of one item.
2) Each entry must be made by the combined efforts of
two people minimum - only one entry per team.
3) An individual may enter more than one item, if
he/she worked with different teammates for each entry.
4) Required Documentation – Short explanation of who
did what for the entry.
5) Standard A&S documentation for entry requested but
not required.

Competition is under the shade pavilion and tables are
available.
