[Glaslyn] Steppes Christmas Party - 12/18/10

Baron of the Steppes baron at steppes.ansteorra.org
Fri Dec 10 11:24:23 PST 2010

Their Oaken Excellencies, Master Duncan Hepburn and Mistress Genevieve de
Courtanvaux, Baron and Baroness of the Steppes, Lord and Lady of Glaslyn,
cordially invite the populace and all friends of the Barony of the Steppes
to join them for an evening of revelry and community.

The Baronial Christmas Party, with potluck and white elephant gift exchange,
will be held at their Excellencies home on Saturday, December 18th 2010
starting at 6:30 p.m.:

Wayne and Carol Ross
17919 Meadowchase Way
Dallas, Texas 75287

Period clothing is optional (though we kindly request that you opt for
modern clothing if you choose not to wear garb... there will be children and
Serena present).

There will be two gift exchanges, both of which are entirely optional:

- There is a white elephant gift exchange for adults. The white elephant
gift can be something tacky or serious. Please don’t spend a lot on this
gift, as the focus is on fun.
- For children there will be a separate gift exchange. These gifts should be
non-gender specific if possible and age appropriate. Parents of teens can
decide which gift exchange their child participates in.

The Baron and Baroness will be cooking a ham and making hot buttered rum.
Everyone else is asked to bring a dish, drink, or snack to share. The site
is wet, but is BYOB. The baron welcomes any alcohol you wish to share.

There are three cats and a dog at the party home, and while every attempt
will be made to remove allergens, you may want to medicate appropriately.

No RSVP is necessary, and feel free to bring a friend or friends who won’t
mind listening to Robin tell a few SCA stories (he has been known to talk).
This is not a private SCA event, and we are hoping to see some friends from
other medieval groups there too. Spread the word.

If you have any questions or concerns, you can call the Baron and Baroness
at 469-893-0740 or email them at steppesparty at stormypetrel.org.
