Subject: [Ansteorra] Our mighty army at BAM

Please forgive the tardiness of my thanks here, but the last week has
been a whirlwind of travel and turkey.  Our army did an outstanding job
at BAM!  Not only did we crush the invasion of our noble neighbors, we
did so with panache and grace.  Injuries and calibration issues were at a minimum, even in the brutality of the choppa tourney.
Special notes- Our archers rocked!  Despite my efforts to even the
numbers of archers, our folks kept enemy fire from bows and spears suppressed in the ravine, making some challenging objectives possible.
Thanks!
The Central region, and his Majesty's bodyguard were given the honor of crossing over to
help our foes.  The fighters of GleannAbhann are more than just friends we want to be hospitable to, they're training partners for war, and key alies.  So supporting them in this fight is an important larger
strategy.  Our guys fought valiantly, and it's clear that the command
efforts in the region are improving numbers and unit cohesion.  Thanks!
To our stalwart ballista crew, who took all the effort to bring out all their gear- Thanks!
To the ladies who held the sally port door closed, that was classy, and fun to watch.  Thanks!
To the Coastal troops who fought for every inch in securing the center
banner in the ravine, and formed half the killing pocket in the
castle-  it was a struggle, but your heart and determination shined
through.  Thanks!
To the Southern region troops who clawed their way to possession of
the right banner, reformed in the field battles like the well drilled
troops you are, and secured the left side of the castle gate- Thanks!
To the Northern troops and St. Mark's who took the left banner and
held it tenaciously, and countered the charges into the gate- Thanks!
To the water bearers, and the folks who brought us snacks, lunch, and the innumerable forms of support, you really make a world of difference.  We last longer, have more fun, and get hurt less because of your efforts.  Thanks!
The big thing we all need to work on for Gulf War is stamina.  Get out
for a hike, ride your bike, lift some weights, even just fighting
regularly will help.  Your injury rate will decline, you'll feel better,
and you'll have the endurance to support your kingdom through the full
war.
Onward to glory!
Gaston de Clermont, General.
